Education

The Christian is a student for life. At Second City Church we seek to engage our minds through ongoing discussions about love God and our neighbors in ways that effect real change. Through public lectures, our Sunday Seminar series, as well as weekly opportunities for young and old, we are learning the way of Christ. Sunday Seminars

If Jesus is truly Lord then he is Lord of every arena of our lives. Body, soul and spirit are his. The  home, the workplace, and our civic lives are his.  But surrendering these arenas to him doesn’t happen overnight. Sunday Seminars exist to provide a venue for conversations about how we might enter an ‘all-of-life’ discipleship. ‘Seminarians’ study and discuss theological and culturally-relevant questions, seeking to become grounded by a Christian view of the world, and prepared to shine God’s light in that world.  Seminars run in 6-8 week modules and take place at 9:00 am Sunday mornings at the church.  All are welcome to join at any time.

Children’s Ministry

Second City Church seeks to educate children ages 3-4 and 5-6 in the basics of our faith in two classes that take place during our Sunday worship service.

Hoover-Wagner/Room for One More

The Hoover-Wagner Men’s class and the Room For One More (RFOM) Women’s class meet together between 9:00 and 10:00 on Sunday mornings in the room below the sanctuary. The class is taught by a variety of men and women.
